9/13/2017  Poe is doing much better.  He is up and getting around very well.  He is available for adoption - but he absolutely cannot do any stairs or do any jumping.  Poe has to stay off the furniture so he doesn't jump.  He is also doing much better with going potty.  He still wears a belly band just in case - but is doing much better at keeping it dry.


Poe update - 6/21/2017Poe really needs our help! He returned to Dakota Dachshund Rescue as he is down in the backend, Can you help with Poe with his vet bills. We are waiting to hear from Dr Brent as far as recommendations on what to do.
My name is Poe and I came to DDR because my family didn't have time for me anymore so they took me to a shelter and then DDR agreed to take me.  I get along great with all of the other foster dogs.  I am always by my foster mom.  I love to look at her and wag my tail and see if I can talk her into petting me or holding me.  I had a back issue in the past, but Dr. Paul says I am totally recovered.  He said I need to not do steps and not jump on or off the furniture.  I do well with following those rules.
