Rusty Jo came to us as an owner surrender. He lived with a wonderful couple, his daddy passed away and his mommy loved him very much but he was too strong for an 83 year old lady that weighs all of 85 pounds to handle.
Rusty Jo had an accident...not quite sure how it happened but he up against a woodburnig stove and burnt a large section of his right side. It's healing very nicely, Dr Rogen sees him every 5 days for bandage changes and he is very impressed at how quickly he's healing. Rusty Jo even has some hair growing back where it's healed already.
He's wrapped from shoulder to tail, baby onsies keep his dressings cleaned and dry and he does a great job of not scratching with the bandages on.
Rusty Jo will be available to go to a new forever home as soon as he's all healed up and Dr Rogen gives us the ok! Rusty is due for shots but we won't due those until he's all healed up so his body focuses on healing instead of building antibodies to vaccine.
Rusty loves to run and explore outside, he's great in the car, sleeps in his kennel but would love to find the end of some lucky boy's bed to sleep on. He's a real charmer that seduces you as soon as you look in his eyes!
