Pepper is a very outgoing senior girl. She has been an only dog and the baby of the family for 9 years. Now that their is a new human baby in the house Pepper got very jealous and protective of her mom. Pepper actually nipped at the baby and has multiple times so we took her to keep everyone safe....baby and Pepper!

Pepper is used to having the freedom of a doggie door, she runs to the door and cries to go out, if I don't make it there right away she runs over to me and cries to go out.

She is kenneling at night for me and while I am at work, she was not kenneled at her previous home and did very well.

Pepper would do well with an adult home or a home with teenage children. Pepper is learning to have other dachshunds around but is still possessive of her food bowl and bed.
