Shasta needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
Hi, I'm Shasta! I was given up due to the neighbor kids teasing me and my owners were worried I may nip them(though I never did). With children I know I'm very behaved anbd friendly. With strangers, I'll bark but will warm up if you are gentle and comedown to my level. I had a fenced yard to play in. I love tennis, rubberballs and squeaky toys. I love fetching balls! I know sit, lay down,,shake sometimes, beg on my hind legs and repond to my name. I'm a good watchdog and bark frequently to let you know when anyone comes around.I tolerate baths and nail trims. I whine during car rides. I get along with small dogs but may not want to share toys or my food.I'm not destructive, I was kept in the bedroom when no one was home. I'm house trained, will sit by the door and can hold it 4-6 hours(when kennelled I never mess in my kennel even if my foster mom is at work for 9-10 hours). I like rawhides and chicken jerky before bedtime or when I am kennelled. I am a total lap dog, love belly rubs, and sleep in bed with my owner. Can you be my forever home! Foster update....Shasta is a fun girl, she came to us because kids were teasing her through the fence and her owner was afraid she may eventually nip or bite at them. Shasta takes a day to warm up but after that she is an absolute love.Shasta is house trained, kennel trained, sleeps in her kennel, plays ball and is just an all around good girl. Shasta likes women but LOVES men! When she met my husband she was like a cat wrapped around his neck giving kisses.
Shasta weighs 13.6 pounds, she is 3 years old and her adoption fee is $125. More about ShastaGood with Dogs Other Pictures of Shasta (click to see larger version):
